The Center for Sustainable Research Data Management will also be there for you in 2024 with a wide range of services and advice.
Research data repository
The research data repository will be upgraded to a new technical platform and bring some innovations that should make setting, managing and presenting data sets even easier.
Research information system
For the Research Information System (FIS) training courses in English and English will continue to be held in 2024 offered in German. Contact: fis@uni-hamburg.de(fis"AT"uni-hamburg.de)
On the initiative of the HCU and UHH, regular meetings of Hamburg's universities take place to discuss all questions relating to operations.
Active participation in international meetings and conferences (EuroCRIS, DACH-UserGroupTreffen, PureInternational, ...) is also planned.
The technical further development of the system and improved external presentation of the existing information round off the FIS team's year.
FDM training courses
There will also be highlights in 2024 in the area of FDM training and workshops.
The fourth FDM workshop for doctoral students from the four clusters (CLICCS, CUI, UWA, QU) will take place in February . With a total of around 100 registrations, the high demand in the target group of doctoral students is confirmed. The Coffee Lecture, which takes place as part of the Love Data Week on February 15th, is open to all target groups (registration is closed). In March the second DDLitLab project (E2D2) will be successfully completed. Here, students were introduced to RDM based on the life cycle of data, so that they could become more data-competent. On April 17th, a workshop on the reuse of research data will take place for RDM Austria in cooperation with UAG Schulungen/Fortbildungen. In the summer, the CRDM welcomes the UAG Schulungen/Fortbildungen from the DINI/nestor-AG research data, with which we are constantly working on the new and further development of training materials (e.g. Train-the-Trainer concept). Upcoming RDM training courses (e.g. for graduate schools, collection managers...) are available here can be found and planned individually with you.
Of course, anyone interested can also come to our open consultation hours on Thursday between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. at Monetastraße 4. Please register at forschungsdaten"AT"uni-hamburg.de.
Scientific collections
In the collection portal FUNDus! we are also planning additional scientific collections and object data from the UHH in the coming year and the LIB. We would be happy to advise you if you can imagine making your collection (or parts of it) visible on the portal. Upon request, we also offer training on how to handle scientific collection data. In addition, the functionality of the portal will be revised. Current information and contact details can be found on the FUNDus! website.
