What are Research Data?

Research data are the basis for carrying out research. The diversity of research disciplines at the Universität Hamburg results in both huge quantities and data types.

Thus, research data comprise test series of laboratory values and experimental studies, surveys, samples, audio and video data, texts, objects from collections, literatures, algorithms, models of visualizations and simulations, etc., all of which are produced, analyzed, and evaluated in the daily scientific work of researchers.
