Why should I write something about my research data?

Your research data are a valuable resource for further research. A description of your data will help to share your data and make it much easier to cite.

Can I use UHH Data Notes?

UHH Data Notes is a free of charge service provided by the Universität Hamburg. Therefore, publishing here is restricted to members of the University. You will need a Universität Hamburg user account and mail (email)(postal) address for submitting an article.

What can I publish?

We accept descriptions of data sets stored either in the Universität Hamburg Research Data Repository or in any other repository which provides long term storage and object identifiers such as a DOI.

Are there any article-processing charges?

No we have no article-processing charges! The service is totally free.

Publishing in our online journal is easy. Just follow the instructions on our submission template. After your submission a review process will take place with the members of our editorial board.
